Things You Should Know Before Your First Appointment

Things You Should Know Before Your First Appointment

Recently engaged and planning out your wedding dress shopping experience? We’re so excited to help you find the wedding dress of your dreams. Before making your appointment, we’re sharing a few answers to common questions, along with advice we think every bride should know before coming for her first appointment.

When should I schedule?

After you’ve chosen a date and a venue for your wedding, we recommend starting your search for your dream dress as soon as possible. This may surprise you, but depending on the dress you choose, it can take up to 6 months to arrive at the salon—and that’s before alterations, which you’ll want to leave at least 6 weeks for prior to the wedding. Make sure you give yourself ample time before your wedding day to find the perfect dress!

Do you charge for appointments?

The short answer to this question: no! The long answer: our Classic Appointment has no charge, and allows you to bring up to 4 guests for a 90-minute appointment with one of our dedicated bridal stylists to help you find your dream dress. We also offer two other experiences, the Luxe Bridal Suite Appointment for $100 and the Grand Experience for $150. The Luxe Bridal Suite Appointment allows up to 7 guests, and lasts for two hours in a private suite with a fitting room and mirror. The Grand Experience allows up to 10 guests, and gives you the entire store (7,000 square feet!) to yourselves for two hours.

Can I bring guests?

Absolutely! The number of guests allowed depends on which appointment you book, but we are more than happy to accommodate you and your loved ones so you can have your most trusted opinions there to help you choose the perfect wedding dress. Our only rule regarding guests is that you do not bring children under 10, so that the bride can focus on finding her dress without any distractions.

Advice from our staff:

While you don’t need to come to the store knowing exactly what you want, we recommend you take a look at Pinterest or a few bridal magazines and get a feel for what types of dresses you may want to try on: think silhouettes, whether you prefer any lace or shimmer, or any other dress details you notice yourself getting drawn to. That being said, keep an open mind! Your stylist may suggest something you haven’t considered yet, and you may try it on and be pleasantly surprised (and if not, we’ve narrowed it down a bit more!).
